Nearly 2.2 million game pieces have been issued to KickBack loyalty cardholders.

Twin Falls, Idaho — With the National Football League (NFL) season winding down, the excitement for KickBack Rewards Systems’ Fantasy Football promotion is heating up, and one lucky fantasy player is going to win two tickets to The Big Bowl Game, on February 2, 2014 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Launched in September, KickBack’s Fantasy Football contest is unique opportunity for retailers to engage its loyalty cardholders by combining their passion for football with an opportunity to win a once-in-a-lifetime grand prize to the most exciting game in sports.

As part of the contest, KickBack cardholders earn a new fantasy football player every time they use their KickBack Points card. The player is displayed at the bottom of their receipt. A total of 9 NFL players can be collected over the course of the season to complete their fantasy team.

Cardholders then earn Fantasy Football points based on their players’ real life game performance every week. Weekly points will be accumulated over the entire course of the pro football season. At the end of the Fantasy Football season, the KickBack cardholder with the most points wins the grand prize. The contest runs through Dec. 29.

Through November, KickBack Rewards reported that the contest has scored big with its cardholders. More than 358,400 KickBack customers have engaged in the Fantasy Football promotion, a solid 6% increase over November 2012. That’s good news for retailers as sales and redemption numbers are also up sharply across the board for participating KickBack merchants. KickBack cardholders rang up more 2.08 million transactions, a strong 14% increase over November 2012. KickBack Fantasy Football cardholders, in November 2013, averaged 5.81 visits to a KickBack merchant.

On a daily basis, Fantasy Football players rang up an average of 69,456 transactions per, a 14% increase over the same period in 2012. Plus, cardholders averaged a slightly more than 1,700 rewards redemptions per day throughout November 2013, up a robust 16% from November 2012.

This year’s contest was a hit from the season’s opening kickoff. For example, while the number of active cardholders did not noticeably increase year-over-year in September and October, the number of transactions they had in an effort to get top Fantasy Football players did. In September, cardholder visits to KickBack merchants increased 12% from last year. Visits increased 13% in October.

The contest is supported by KickBack’s world-class loyalty interface. All cardholders receive weekly emails that notify them of their stats and placement. Cardholders can, at any time, log on to www.kickbackpoints.com to view player stats and cardholder standings.

Fantasy Football is another opportunity for KickBack retailers to distinguish their offering through promoting loyalty.
